A few weeks ago, a manager I work with confided that he was on the horns of a dilemma. He had a big problem. On one hand, he could do a certain thing to solve it. On the other hand, he could do another. Right now, though, all he was doing with those hands was wringing them. I felt for him. So did some of the other people in the room. We all offered ideas.
